Privacy Policy — Y2K Robots: Island Adventure
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This notice is specific to the Y2K Robots game by Unfire. It explains the data that may be involved when you play, use optional online or audio features, and request support. Some features may differ by platform or app version. The app is developed and operated by Unfire, an independent initiative based in Spain.
1. Playing without an account
You can play the core game without registering an account. The bundled game uses local device storage for settings and progress-related choices, such as language and gameplay preferences. This information normally stays on your device. Clearing the app's stored data or uninstalling it may remove it.
2. Optional online play and communications
If you choose online multiplayer or communication features, internet access and peer-to-peer connection signalling may be required. Such connections can involve room or invitation codes, a temporary connection identifier, network information such as IP address, and messages or audio exchanged with other participants. Other participants may receive information you intentionally share in a session. Online services and intermediaries required to establish a connection may process technical metadata; their handling and retention are governed by their own practices. Do not share private information in rooms or chat.
We use the PeerJS WebRTC connection technology in game builds where multiplayer is enabled. Some platform-specific app builds may disable online communication or permissions. Features not available in your version do not transmit that category of data.
3. Camera and microphone permissions
Optional features may request camera or microphone permission where the device and app version support them. The permission request is controlled by your operating system; declining it should not prevent core offline exploration. When used for real-time features, camera or microphone input is processed to provide that feature or exchanged with session peers when applicable. Availability and actual access depend on the platform, and we do not describe these features as required for basic play.
4. Third-party resources
Some optional content or online features may connect to external services, including peer-to-peer signalling, video providers, or resource hosts. Network requests may disclose technical information (for example your IP address and user agent) to the service involved. Using an external video feature, where available, may be subject to that provider's privacy policy. Core bundled gameplay does not require an external video account.
5. Support, reports and safety
If you send an email or report a player, we receive the information you choose to include, along with your email address and relevant correspondence. We use this material to answer support requests, investigate abuse and keep the service safe. We keep support information only as needed for those purposes and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal data within our control. Actions taken by other players or independently operated services are not under our direct control.
6. Advertising, tracking and purchases
The initial game release is intended to be free, without in-app purchases or third-party advertising. We do not use the game to sell personal data to advertisers. Third-party online features, if activated by players, are described above and should not be confused with offline play.
7. Children and safer play
Parents or guardians should review online and chat features before allowing a child to use them. Do not share your real name, address, contact details or other personal information with other players. Report abusive behavior to the support address below. We will assess reports and available safeguards for the applicable app version.
8. Your choices and rights
- Play offline and avoid optional online rooms, microphone, camera and external content.
- Control access to camera and microphone in your device settings where available.
- Clear local app/browser data to remove locally stored preferences.
- Contact Unfire for privacy questions or to exercise rights under applicable data-protection law, including access, correction and deletion where relevant.
9. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when the game, platforms or online services change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. For privacy, data requests, and game safety: hello@unfire.technology.
